Kow’s 2014 Roadmap

Your boys from Moo Corner had a planning meeting on Wednesday where they came up with a roadmap of sorts for the 2014 season. We brainstormed a number of ideas for what we wanted to work on and accomplish for the 2013/14 performing season. No idea was too small, no idea was too ambitious to write down. Sure, we had some mundane ideas like having costumes or choreography for some of our songs, but we also came up with some novel and challenging suggestions.

One of the things we wanted to do was to learn ten (ten) brand new songs in time for next Fringe. Each Kow is responsible for bringing two new arrangements to the group. This is a great opportunity for me to arrange another song for Fringe, since the last (and only) song I arranged for Kow is no longer being performed. Are there any songs you’d like to hear Kow perform? Let me know so I can bring it to the group before anyone else does!

Another idea that we wanted to pursue is singing the national anthem at a sporting event. We’ve been wanting to do this for a couple of years, but we’ve never been able to get our stuff together in time for auditions. This year, we’re going to stay on top of things and maybe, just maybe, you’ll see your favourite a capella Kows on TV at the beginning of an Eskimos game or in the arena for an Oil Kings game. Or, my preference, at an Edmonton Rush lacrosse game. Heck, even if we did a Golden Bears game or an Edmonton Energy basketball game or a U of A quidditch game!

Those are just two of the many ideas we’ve explored. As always, if you have suggestions or requests on things you’d like to see us do, whether it’s songs you want to hear or certain parts of our act you want to see, sound off in the comments on Facebook or ping us on Twitter! We love hearing from you!
