It’s that time of year again, Kow boys and Kow girls!
Summer is here and in just a few weeks, Old Strathcona will be abuzz with tens of thousands of people enjoying the annual Fringe Festival! Of course, your favourite Boys from Moo Corner have a show this year, and once again, it will be at Knox-Metropolitan United Church (BYOV #25). This year, it’s Apocalypse Kow Gets Serious, a music-filled exploration of where Kow is as a group and where we could be, if only we’d get serious about what we do. Will we change our tune and start getting serious about our art, or will we keep entertaining our fans the way we always have, with humour and joy and fun for the whole family? I guess you’ll have to see the show to find out! We’ll have new music as well as old favourites, a small concession with food and drink for those hot summer nights, and you might learn something. What more could you ask for? A concert spectacular, you say? Why, of course we’ll give you a concert spectacular! The performance on the last Sunday of the Fringe will be a full-on concert–no script, no pretense, just music, music, music!
We are currently looking for volunteers who would like to do front-of-house/concession for each of our performances. It’s basic cash handling and ticket taking, you’d get to see the show as well as come to another performance during the week. Please let us know on our social media, phone, text, or tweet us if you’d like to volunteer for a show or five. Thanks, everyone!
More Fringe info to come!
