The 3rd Annual Edmonton A Cappella Festival

It’s that time of year again! How do you make the Edmonton A Cappella Festival that much bigger? Have it over two days!

This year, alongside of TWO concerts, the festival is hosting workshops all about how to improve your a cappella experience. Want to learn how to arrange songs, learn how to improve your microphone performance, how to beatbox, or do you just want to sing a medley arranged by local conductor Caleb Nelson? Sign up on the Eventbrite page for this Saturday’s sessions!

Of course, there will be concerts! On Saturday evening at Harry Ainlay High School Auditorium, the Professional show will feature High Street Sound, The Olsen Sisters and Apocalypse Kow! On Sunday afternoon, at Southgate Alliance Church, you’ll hear the ETown Vocal Music Society choirs, like ETown Augmented and ETown Minors, as well as Harry Ainlay group Tital up Vocal Jazz!

Get your tickets now! Online or at the doors!

Funny, you don’t look 20!

So it could very well be 9 months since we’ve updated this page. But that isn’t because we haven’t been busy. Quite the contrary, really. We’ve been busy with a number of projects over the last 9 months, some of which are still super secret and some of which are happening all too soon.

One of those projects happening all too soon is the Apocalypse Kow 20th Birthday show, this Friday October 19th at The Aviary. Doors at 7:30pm, show at 8pm. Tickets are $20 adults, $15 students/seniors, and are available at the door or in advance at this link! We can’t guarantee there’ll be another 20th anniversary show for at least 7 or 8 more years, so come join us for a night of camaraderie, comedy, and cake (expertly made by Whimsical Cake Studio)!
